(Part-Time: 20 Hours a Week When School is in Session - 11am-3 pm M-Th/8am-12pm F)

Reports to: Academy Nurse (Registered Nurse)
Liberty STEAM Charter School is seeking a part-time Health Clinic Aide to work alongside the full-time academy nurse to support the daily operations of the school health clinic and promote the health and safety of approximately 875 scholars and staff members at our Sumter Mall campus. This role works closely with school leadership and the designated school nurse to ensure scholars receive timely care and that the clinic operates efficiently throughout the school day.
The Health Clinic Aide provides basic first aid and health support for minor illnesses and injuries, monitors scholars who visit the clinic, and helps ensure students can safely return to class ready to learn. Responsibilities include documenting clinic visits, maintaining accurate health records, assisting with medication procedures under supervision, and communicating with staff and families when appropriate. The role also includes maintaining a clean and organized clinic space, monitoring supplies, and supporting school-wide health and safety procedures.
The Health Clinic aide will provide support for scholars Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic first aid and care for minor illnesses and injuries
- Monitor and support scholars visiting the clinic during the school day
- Document clinic visits and maintain confidential health records
- Assist with medication procedures as directed by the school nurse
- Communicate with staff and families regarding student health concerns
- Maintain clinic cleanliness, organization, and supply inventory
- Support compliance with school health policies and procedures
- Serve as a flexible team member who contributes positively to the overall school culture
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Experience working with children or in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow health protocols

Compensation
- $15-20 per Hour
- Part-time employees are not eligible for additional benefits.
