Position Description & Application Process for Traffic Monitors (Part-Time)

LSC's Traffic Monitor is part-time employment that comes with a personal sense of job satisfaction as you safeguard the proper flow of traffic across busy intersections in the traffic routes leading to campus entry. School traffic monitors oversee & control traffic flow around schools in the morning (Mondays through Fridays) 7:00-8:00 am) and at the end of the school day (Mondays-Thursdays from 2:00-3:30 pm & Fridays from 11:15 am-12:30 pm). Their primary responsibility is to enforce law-enforcement-approved traffic patterns. 

 Qualifications

  • Ideal candidates are hard-working, urgent, energetic, and are willing to learn and adapt;
  • Is flexible and enjoys dealing with unpredictability;
  • An effective communicator
  • Able to physically move quickly & wear a safety vest
  • Previous crossing guard or traffic monitor experience, preferred.

  • NOTE: As a prospective LSC part-time employee, you must be able to successfully pass a state and national background check, have satisfactory references, & participate in an on the job training with our School Resource Office.

Compensation

$15-$20/Hour
